This is a poster series system for NYPL. Used typeface family is Akzidenz Grotesk because it was released in 1898, while the NYPL was built in 1887. They were in the same era. I took the shape of book spines into rectangles as a major element. I also created a custom grid that will allow its users to develop a wide variety of layouts. Three weights represent three different pieces of information. Condensed is for the title. Italic is for date and regular is for location and time.
